Hi from Rensselaer,
Our home is filled with family and friends. We really enjoyed your blog which got published in the Lafayette paper. You are living in an area that I would love. Merry Christmas to you and all your family. Someday Ellen and I might just drop in..
DS, great photos of Lee and documentation the cattle operations. I have heard some of the valley oldtimers say they wish they knew ten percent of what Lee has forgotten about cows and they would know a lot!
Hi! I'm Gretchen, an ecologist, rancher's wife, mother, writer, and dreamer. I've lived and worked in three of the four North American deserts and visited the fourth. This blog is about what it's like to live in the rural high desert on a ranch, spending lots of time outdoors with kids, and our journey to live more sustainably. To learn more about the area, click here. If you'd like to contact me, leave a comment (I love comments!) or email me at desertsurvivor @ live.com.
