I'm traveling, so I don't have time to do my usual Monday Desert Destination post (but I have some great photos from the Spring Break trip that will be posted soon!).
In the meantime, here's a fun video of Desert Boy hamming it up.
Now I found it. Fun! Such a cute little guy, with a repertoire of noises. Yeh, the backhoe was great. Train good, too. Delivery for animals and machines indistinguishable. Horse was really cute, too.
Desert boy and my youngest must be about the same age. Although having a desert-based biologist as a mother does change your range of sounds. My daughter does the basic crow instead of a raven and we don't have backhoes in the suburbs. Although she may be able to do a garbage truck soon :)
Hi! I'm Gretchen, an ecologist, rancher's wife, mother, writer, and dreamer. I've lived and worked in three of the four North American deserts and visited the fourth. This blog is about what it's like to live in the rural high desert on a ranch, spending lots of time outdoors with kids, and our journey to live more sustainably.
