Here's a close up of the sign that was in the previous post. I stopped because I noticed the debris at the bottom of the sign. A flash flood really did come through the area, even going across the highway. It just seems so unlikely on the clear, sunny days!
Just last week as we were passing some dry washes, we were talking about how unlikely it seemed that it would flood in such a dry place. But the debris strewn about told the truth of the matter!
ReplyDeleteThe thunderstorms in the Great Basin desert surprised me when I was first there. Northern Nevada's Ruby Mountains were so green the next day.
