Have you hiked that and if so, how would you compare that with Cathedral Wash? Are they sufficiently different for it to be worth doing both?

many thanks again! If there's a small chance, you can call the visitor center the day before and ask for their recommendation.
Desert Survivorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09620590624490393921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1670419199327567458.post-7797417589075066532016-05-14T12:51:51.259-07:002016-05-14T12:51:51.259-07:00Hi Gretchen - this is Chitra's husband, Vijay....Hi Gretchen - this is Chitra's husband, Vijay. Thanks for your answer above - very helpful. We are aware of the possibility of flash floods which would make Cathedral Wash unsafe to hike. How did you check up on this? Our thought was to call the local Visitors Center and ask, but since we would plan to start the hike early (6 or 7a), it would not be open at that time. What would you suggest we do?

best, Vijay
Vijay and Chitra Sundaramhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15601523413031854953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1670419199327567458.post-84359676686716929162016-05-09T14:53:09.907-07:002016-05-09T14:53:09.907-07:00Chitra, you can hear the river, so you'll know...Chitra, you can hear the river, so you'll know what direction you need to go, it's just lots of climbing up and down the stream bank and over boulders. You can't really get lost. But you can get tired, take lots of snacks! :0Desert Survivorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09620590624490393921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1670419199327567458.post-57369021491070742662016-05-09T13:07:07.203-07:002016-05-09T13:07:07.203-07:00Hi Gretchen - great blog! I was a bit concerned to read that the "trail" ends and we have to find our way to the CO river. Is it that easy to find our way? Dont want to get lost! Appreciate your advice and warnings.

Best ChitraChitra Sundaramhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10588935773987748900noreply@blogger.com
